There may be things in the ’80s that many of us would like to forget, but I highly doubt you will find a horror fan who wouldn’t agree that it was single most important era in the genre. Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and Chucky were all children of the ’80s and have since become immortal horror icons. These are only the tip of the iceberg in the documentary In Search of Darkness: A Journey into Iconic 80’s Horror.
In Search of Darkness aims to take a unique look into iconic films and to allow the people who made them to tell their stories. The film currently features talent such as Adrienne Barbeau, Jeffrey Combs, Joe Dante, Tom Savini, Leigh Whannell, with many more set to appear. They are only a couple weeks away from launching a Kickstarter campaign to raise additional funds for the feature, which is sure to nail its goal several times over.
