One of the hottest trends in gaming these days is battle royale-style games, and one of the best examples of this is Fortnite. After just hitting it’s 1-year anniversary recently, Fortnite continues to be one of the biggest games ever, with over 125 million players across all platforms. So, it only makes sense that Funko would get their mitts on the license. During one of their gaming streams on Friday, Funko announced that a whopping 16 Fortnite Funkos based off the numerous in-game skins will be hitting store shelves in November.
Fortnite is a free-to-play game, but in order to unlock any of the awesome skins, you’ll need to purchase a Battle Pass. But come November, in addition to collecting in-game, you can collect on your shelves as well.
The first massive wave of Fortnite Funko Pop! figures includes: Tower Recon Specialist, Black Knight, Moonwalker Skull Trooper, Love Ranger, Merry Marauder, Cuddle Team Leader, Omega in full armor, Brite Bomber, and Raptor.
This wave also has three exclusive Fortnite Funkos: Crackshot, which is exclusive to Walmart; Red-Nosed Raider, which is exclusive to GameStop/EB Games; and Codename E.L.F., which is exclusive to Target. For the Fortnite fans in Europe, Crackshot can be found at TheToyShop.com (The Entertainer), while Red-Nosed Raider will be sold in GAME stores, and Codename E.L.F. will be available at Smyths Toys.
Two Fortnite Pocket Pop! keychains will also be released alongside the Pop! Vinyls. Protect your keys with either Love Ranger or Cuddle Team Leader.
Each Pop! and Pocket Pop! has a QR code on the box. Funko has not revealed what these codes are for, but some are speculating they will link to Fortnite in the App Store or Google Play Store when scanned. I think it would be cool if they were ‘unlock codes’ for the skin in the game, but that may be a little far-fetched.
The non-exclusive Fortnite Funkos are now available for pre-order at a few different stores, such as Hot Topic and GameStop/EB Games.
