5Grudge
Synopsis: A house is cursed by a vengeful ghost that dooms those who enter it with a violent death.
Remember The Grudge? The 2004 horror film is another movie going through the reboot treatment, this time from co-writer and director Nicolas Pesce. It will have no relation to the Sarah Michelle Gellar movie or its two sequels, rebooting the story entirely from scratch. Confirmed to appear in the cast are Andrea Riseborough, Demian Bichir, John Cho, William Sadler, and Lin Shaye.
Full details on the reboot’s plot haven’t been revealed, but we presume it will play out similarly to The Grudge, which itself was a remake of a Japanese horror film. It tells the story of a family who moves into a new home where they’re terrorized by a sinister curse. The original film showed promise, while the sequels went a bit off the rails. Hopefully, this reboot will put the franchise back on track.
