By this point, every Friday the 13th fan is well aware of Womp Stomp Films’ Never Hike Alone. Directed by Vincente DiSanti, the movie is considered by many to be the epitome of fan films. Viewers who’ve enjoyed the film may be wondering what’s next for Womp Stomp Films, and the answer to that question is their next project – a horror movie short called Pathosis.
Pathosis “follows the story of Sam, a young woman plagued by a mental disorder which forces her to struggle between fighting her disease and the troublesome side effects of her medication.” Produced by DiSanti and Kyle Klein, the movie stars Luciana Faulhaber (Gotham, Shades of Blue) and Andrew Leighty (Never Hike Alone, 13 Fanboy). Award winning filmmaker Austin Bonang, who previously worked on the “Quicksilver kitchen scene” in X-Men: Days of Future Past, is directing the film.
To give viewers an idea of what to expect from Pathosis, Bonang has put together a special previs of the film. The movie itself will be live-action, but the animated preview is quite compelling. It certainly sets the tone for the kind of horror Bonang and the producers are going for here, and you can take a look at it for yourself below!
The new movie is currently in its crowdfunding stage after recently launching an Indiegogo campaign. Now live, the goal Womp Stomp Films is shooting for is $15,000, with the campaign ending on Jan. 1, 2019. To become a part of Pathosis and to find out more information about the movie, you can head on over to the official Indiegogo page.
