To this day, The Shining remains one of the most popular horror films of all time. Adapted from a Stephen King novel and directed by Stanley Kubrick, the movie tells the story of a father named Jack Torrance descending into total madness after moving his family into the Overlook Hotel. In addition to the homicidal father, other creepy characters appear in the movie as well, including a pair of ghosts known as the Grady Twins. Now, all three antagonists are transitioning from creepy to cute, as they’re being turned into Living Dead Dolls!
From Mezco Toyz, the line of Living Dead Dolls has already adapted characters from other popular horror films. Michael Myers, Annabelle, Jason Voorhees, and Ash Williams, for example, have all been given the treatment. Like the others, Jack Torrance and the Grady Twins now look cuter than previously thought possible, and they’re worth checking out for collectors of Living Dead Dolls and/or fans of The Shining.

Jack Torrance will have his full reveal at Toy Fair 2019 on Feb. 16. Meanwhile, however, Mezco has released a first look image at what the doll looks like. Brandishing a crazed look on his face, Jack comes in his trademark corduroy jacket and flannel shirt. A targeted release window isn’t yet available, but more details will be known after Toy Fair. You can take a look at him in the photo below.
As for the Grady Twins, they’ll be coming in a 2-pack together, as separating the two could never reasonably be an option. They’re talking dolls as well, as one of the twins comes with a hidden button that plays their quotes from the movie. Wearing their trademark blue dresses, catch a peek at the Grady Twins in the images below.
Check back after Toy Fair for more details on Jack Torrance. The Grady Twins can be purchased now for $80, and they’ll ship July-Sept. 2019.
