king cohen Larry cohen

Larry Cohen has always been one of the true pioneers of independent cinema. Last year saw the release of King Cohen, a love letter to the filmmaker and his films from director Steve Mitchell. It’s a fantastic and fun film (you can read my review here) that features interviews with Michael Moriarty, Fred Williamson, David J. Schow, Laurene Landon, and many others. This weekend, some of the Cohen crew will be invading Dark Delicacies in Burbank, Ca. for an in-store signing.

Signing copies of the film will be director Steve Mitchell, composer Joe Kraemer, interviewee/writer David J. Schow, interviewee/actress Laurene Landon, and the legend himself, Larry Cohen. If you’re in the area, the Blu-ray/CD combo can be purchased at Dark Delicacies in-store or at the event. Pick up your disc set and have it signed by the legend and his crew on Sat, Feb 2nd. Copies are also available online.
