Because we’re major fans of the Friday the 13th movie series here at Horror Geek Life, we’re especially stoked for the upcoming meta film 13 Fanboy. Directed by A New Beginning star Deborah Voorhees, the film tells the story of a murderous psychopath setting his sights on the real-life performers from the popular horror franchise. Many familiar faces from the series will be playing fictionalized versions of themselves, with each of them a potential victim of the movie’s masked murderer.

So many awesome names have already been confirmed to appear in 13 Fanboy. However, today comes a new addition which is very, very exciting. Corey Feldman, who appears as Tommy Jarvis in The Final Chapter and again for a cameo in A New Beginning, has been officially announced by Voorhees to have a role in the film. While it’s unclear how extensive Feldman’s part in the movie will be, the actor will be playing an unnamed fictional character in the upcoming movie.

Feldman joins a who’s who of Friday the 13th alumni already attached to the cast. Some of the other confirmed talent includes Kane Hodder, Thom Mathews, Judie Aronson, C.J. Graham, Tracie Savage, Jennifer Banko, Ron Sloan, Carol Locatell, Vincente DiSanti, Andrew Leighty, and many more. Voorhees is also promising another major cast announcement to come next week, so there’s even more yet to come. Stay tuned for more information!

Now over $60k, the budget for 13 Fanboy continues to grow. The project is past its original goal, but there’s still time to contribute to get in on those perks.
