2Alice Hardy (Adrienne King, Friday the 13th Part II)
In the original Friday the 13th, Jason Voorhees was not the killer, having presumably drowned in Crystal Lake. This left his grieving mother Pamela as the film’s antagonist, butchering a group of aspiring camp counselors prior to Camp Crystal Lake reopening. It all comes down to one survivor, Alice Hardy, who puts an end to the madness by decapitating Mrs. Voorhees with a machete. For those who haven’t seen it, the moment is just as badass as it sounds, forever making Alice a fan favorite horror movie heroine.
Of course, you can probably surmise what happens next. Adrienne King reprises the role of Alice for Friday the 13th Part II, with the story picking up a few months after the ordeal with Mrs. Voorhees. Seeking vengeance, an actually-alive Jason manages to track down Alice to the Crystal Lake home she’s been staying in. After first spooking the young lady with his mother’s head in the fridge, Jason quickly dispatches poor Alice with an icepick to the head before she can even get a look at him.
Because Alice had clearly proven herself to be such a badass in the first movie, seeing her die so suddenly in Part II was just as surprising as it was unfortunate.
