Voorhees is an upcoming Friday the 13th fan film from filmmaker Cody Faulk, and the second trailer has just been released online. In the film, a group of criminals hole up in Crystal Lake after committing the seemingly perfect heist, taking a couple of hostages along the way. Unfortunately for them, it turns out someone far more dangerous than the police is waiting for them there. Jason Voorhees is back, and ready to kill again in what is being described as the most sinister Friday the 13th film yet.
Something interesting shown in the trailer is how Jason is not waiting for night to fall to begin the killings, giving us a rad shot of his bloody machete glistening in the sunlight. The FX also look pretty great, as we can see in some of the other shots. In the closing moments of the trailer, a man – presumably one of the criminals – has a face-to-face showdown with Jason, but it’s also apparent Jason will have no problem going after the innocent hostages as well. It remains to be seen how the story will play out, but we can certainly expect to see a lot of bloodshed.

Also released with the new trailer is another poster by Cory Coffman. We can see the back of the hockey mask wearing maniac’s head against an image of a derelict building in Crystal Lake. As this looks to be one of Jason’s most brutal killing sprees, the dark tone seems to be appropriate. You can check out that poster below.
Also included in the trailer is a release date set for Voorhees, which will appropriately be a Friday the 13th – September 13, 2019. The movie will be free to watch on YouTube when it’s released. It may be a while yet before we see Jason in a new Friday the 13th film, but Voorhees will help keep the hockey mask warm until then.
