People Are Confusing Director Tom Holland with the ‘Spider-Man’ Star

Filmmaker Tom Holland is very well-known to longtime fans of the horror genre, notably directing movies like Fright Night, Thinner, and the original Child’s Play. Holland also wrote many classic horror films as well, including Psycho IIThe Beast Within, and Class of 1984. He’s a legend of the horror genre, and for decades, Holland never had to worry about being confused with anyone else with the same name in the movie business.

As we all know now, however, another well-known Tom Holland would change that by breaking into Hollywood by appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the Avengers and Spider-Man movies, young actor Tom Holland portrays the role of Peter Parker. With his latest film Far From Home now playing in theaters, Marvel fans have been taking to Twitter to commend Holland for the movie. As it would appear, however, many are apparently directing their tweets at the filmmaker Tom Holland instead of the Spider-Man star.

Bombarded by tweets tagging him to Spider-Man related content, Holland commented on the sheer volume of the tweets that keep rolling in. You can take a look at his response below to the confusion below, which was posted on Twitter.

As far as getting confused with someone else goes, it could be much worse than the Spider-Man actor. And to be clear, Holland (the director) doesn’t seem particularly upset about the confusion. More so, he just seems to be in awe just how many times his account has been tagged on Spider-Man-related tweets. If nothing else, it’s a little amusing.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is now playing in theaters everywhere. If you’re looking for Tom Holland the actor on Twitter, he has an official account as well. Just make sure you’re tweeting the right one when praising his performance as Peter Parker.
