‘The Shining’ is Showing in the Overlook Hotel in December

Fans of The Shining will undoubtedly recognize the Timberline Lodge in Mount Hood, Oregon. Starring Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall, the movie focuses on a father’s descent into madness after moving his family into an empty hotel. The Timberline Lodge served as the film’s Overlook Hotel for the exterior shots from the Stanley Kubrick classic, and now, fans will have an opportunity to watch the film in the historic building, as a screening will be held there on Dec. 1, 2019.

At the screening, ticket holders will be have access to the hotel grounds for the day. This also includes the Cascade dining room, Ram’s Head Bar & Restaurant, Wy’East Café, Y’Bar, history exhibit, gift shop, game room, and more. Because these kinds of screenings at the hotel are very rare, tickets are likely going to sell out fast, so anyone interested in going might want to jump on this opportunity ASAP.
