For horror fans who love The Simpsons, the annual “Treehouse of Horror” episodes of the series are among the best the show has to offer. The segments from the horror-themed episodes are known for spoofing various horror films and TV shows. Two of the most memorable are the Groundskeeper Willie parody of A Nightmare on Elm Street‘s Freddy Kreuger and the Mr. Burns spoof of Dracula from Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Now, both the vampire Mr. Burns and the the evil Groundskeeper Willie are getting the Funko Pop treatment, as revealed by Funko on their official website. The figures look incredibly awesome, but they’ll be sold exclusively at New York Comic-Con 2019. They’ll only be sold in limited quantities, so attending NYCC does not guarantee you’ll be able to find one. The figures are undeniably awesome, so the limited availability is certainly a bummer for those of us unable to attend the big event.
You can take a look at the recently revealed Funko Pop! figures for The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror below, courtesy of Funko.
The Mr. Burns vampire appears in “Treehouse of Horror IV,” inviting the Simpson family over to his house for dinner with plans to turn them all into vampires. Meanwhile, the Groundskeeper Willie parody is a part of “Treehouse of Horror VI,” spoofing A Nightmare on Elm Street by having Willie attacking the children of Springfield in their dreams after Homer inadvertently burns him to death. These figure follow others previously announced of the various versions of the Simpson family members from “Treehouse of Horror” episodes.
The 666th episode of The Simpsons will oddly enough be “Treehouse of Horror XXX,” and it’s set to air on Fox this fall. This time, the series will be spoofing the hit Netflix series Stranger Things. You can catch the episode when it airs on Fox on October 20th.
