Most ’90s kids should be able to remember the animated series Recess. As it sounds, the show takes place mostly during recess time at an elementary school, focusing primarily on six students and the society they’ve created with their classmates. The program debuted as a part of ABC’s “One Saturday Morning” cartoon block, airing alongside other animated shows like Pepper Ann and Disney’s Doug reboot.

While Recess was given multiple animated movie sequels (and even a crossover with Lilo and Stitch: The Series), we haven’t seen the Third Street Gang since 2006. Still, the series has maintained a cult following in the years to come after the end of the franchise. Curious about what may have happened with the show’s lead characters once after they got a little older, a group of filmmakers chose to continue the story with a live-action sequel called Third Street. The free to watch movie has since been uploaded to YouTube after a successful crowdfunding campaign, and needless to say, it’s a must-watch video for anyone with fond memories of watching the original series.

Third Street is directed by Jerome Yoo. The live-action cast includes Benjamin Wadsworth as TJ, Louriza Tronco as Ashley Spinelli, Sean Depner as Mikey, Lillian Doucet-Roche as Gretchen, Clive Holloway as Gus, and Fritzy Klevans Destine as Vince. It also features music by Sydney Kwan, Angus Maude, and Harlequin Gold.
