If you’ve been dying to see a modern horror film about a bed that kills people, you’ll soon have your chance by watching The Dwelling. Directed by Jeff Maher using a screenplay co-written with Cody Calahan, the film stars Alysa King (Slasher) and Gwenlyn Cumyn (Barbelle) in what seems to be one of the most bizarre horror stories we’ve seen yet (and trust me, we’ve certainly seen a lot). From Black Fawn Films and Uncork’d Entertainment, The Dwelling will arrive on Digital and DVD on Nov. 26.

While the trailer only gives us a peek at what’s to come in The Dwelling, it gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect. As a movie featuring a bed that kills people, you may expect to find some darkly comedic moments in the film, and that appears to be the case as seen in the trailer. But the film definitely doesn’t seem to be a straight-up dark comedy, as the trailer also shows us plenty of horrific imagery and bizarre visuals, suggesting the “killer bed movie” is somehow even crazier than it sounds.

Synopsis: Four people find themselves stuck on a haunted antique bed where leaving means suffering a gruesome death. Plagued with frightening hallucinations, they must figure out the bed’s secrets before they are ultimately picked off one by one.

The concept of a killer bed has been explored in the horror genre before, dating back to the 1977 film Death Bed: The Bed That Eats. This movie was later remade as a direct-to-video horror film in 2002. However, this trailer for The Dwelling looks particularly insane, and could be the craziest killer bed story any of us have seen yet.
