Disturbing Horror Novel ‘True Crime’ to Release in January

Samantha Kolesnik's True Crime | Grindhouse Press

In January 2020, Grindhouse Press will release the disturbing new horror novel True Crime from indie filmmaker Samantha Kolesnik. Those who’ve seen her horror short Mama’s Boy (watch the trailer here) should certainly not be surprised to see Kolesnik penning a novel with such a macabre concept. Kolesnik is also the co-founder of the annual Women in Horror Film Festival and continues to work with indie film with her new film festival PA Indie Shorts, but True Crime will be her debut work as a novelist.

Synopsis: “Suzy and her brother, Lim, live with their abusive mother in a town where the stars don’t shine at night. Once the abuse becomes too much to handle the two siblings embark on a sordid cross-country murder spree beginning with their mom. As the murder tally rises, Suzy’s mental state spirals into irredeemable madness.”

True Crime will be released courtesy of Grindhouse Press on Jan. 15, 2020. For now, you can take a look at the novel’s cover art below!
