Netflix’s upcoming Transformers trilogy, Transformers: War For Cybertron, got a new trailer for its first chapter, titled “Siege.” The animated show is produced by Rooster Teeth, Hasbro’s Allspark Animation, and Polygon Pictures and will be exclusive to Netflix.
War For Cybertron Trilogy: Siege focuses on the final stage of the Great War between the Autobots and Decepticons on a war-torn Cyberton.
In the midst of ongoing war on Cybertron, forces of good and evil clash as they search for the source of their power: the Allspark. This may not be the life they imagined, but it’s a life worth fighting for.
The voice talent behind the show includes Jason Marnocha (Megatron), Jake Foushee (Optimus Prime), Linsay Rousseau (Elita-1), Joe Zieja (Bumblebee), Frank Todaro (Starscream), Rafael Goldstein (Ratchet), Keith Silverstein (Jetfire), Todd Haberkorn (Shockwave, Red Alert), Edward Bosco (Ultra Magnus, Soundwave), Bill Rogers (Wheeljack), Sophia Isabella (Arcee), Brook Chalmers (Impactor), Shawn Hawkins (Mirage), Kaiser Johnson (Ironhide), Miles Luna (Teletraan I, Cliffjumper), and Mark Whitten (Sideswipe, Skywarp). Following “Siege” will be chapter 2, Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy: Earthrise, which sees the Autobots and Decepticons land on earth, continuing their battle around humans. The third chapter is yet untitled. While the series is unrelated to the video game of the same name, there is a related toyline from Hasbro.
“Siege” will include six 22-minute episodes. As you can see in the trailer below, the series will be a dark, gritty, and violent take on the franchise.
Netflix has not confirmed a release date for the series premiere, but has confirmed that it will hit the streaming service in 2020.
