Bruce Campbell Reveals New Book Coming This Summer

Ash vs Evil Dead | Starz

Evil Dead star and best-selling author Bruce Campbell has revealed on Twitter that he will be releasing his next book this summer. Called The Cool Side of My Pillow: A Book of Essays, Campbell unveiled the upcoming book’s cover on Twitter in response to a fan who’d read all of Campbell’s previous titles multiple times. “Be patient. New book out this summer. More info to come!” Campbell says, posting the cover of his new book featuring an image of the Bubba Ho-Tep star on the beach.

This will be Campbell’s fourth book as an author. His previous titles include two memoirs: 2002’s If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor and its 2016 follow-up Hail to the Chin: Further Confessions of a B Movie Actor. In 2005, Campbell would also release the book Make Love! The Bruce Campbell Way, which presents a fictional account of Campbell’s struggles to find success in Hollywood. As his titles always make for fun reading, I’m certainly looking forward to the next one quite a bit.

It’s not entirely clear what this “book of essays” will entail, but it seems like it will be a collection of musings from Campbell on various subjects. As we’ve seen with everything else he’s written, both fiction and non-fiction, Campbell always brings along his trademark wit and I would expect for that to be present in the new title as well. For now, we’ll have to wait for Campbell to shed more light on The Cool Side of My Pillow, but the unveiled cover is certainly pretty awesome. We are fast approaching the summer as it is, so the wait for it to arrive shouldn’t be too long.

Stay tuned for more updates, and keep up with Campbell by following him on Twitter.
