What if we didn’t have to stop eating at restaurants? What if we could take an old DeLorean, a Time Displacement Device, a couple of jumbo jet turbines and a hot tub, duct tape them together and tell Covid-19 to shove it? Well strap in, because we’re no longer confined to cold takeout French fries and soggy burger buns on our living room couches. If we want breakfast, we’re going to have piping hot eggs and pancakes that don’t sag into a sugary sponge. Hop on into the totally safe time traveling spaceship. We’re going out for dinner every day this week. Who’s hungry?

First stop….

Monday – White Dragon Noodle Bar (Blade Runner) – Los Angeles, CA – 2019

Recommended Meal: Noodles, Sushi & Sake

Blade Runner (1982) / Warner Bros.

If we must go “back” a year in time to get freshly cooked noodles, I’m all in. Listen, the White Dragon Noodle Bar isn’t the prettiest place, but if getting drunk, sharing your problems, and filling your belly is the goal, it gets the job done. As long as you don’t mind replicant fugitives making your sushi and the possibility of bullets flying by your head, you’re good to go!

Tuesday – Taco Bell (Demolition Man) – San Angeles, CA – 2032

Recommended Meal: Joy Joy Hors D’Oeuvre

Demolition Man (1993) / Warner Bros.

By the year 2032, Taco Bell emerges the victor in the franchise wars. Not only are they the best restaurant, but they are the only restaurant. A bit classed up from our Taco Bells of old, they provide fine dining and entertainment, with a pianist playing your favorite commercial show tunes. You’ll want to make sure your language stays clean and inspires joy joy feelings to all. Don’t forget your three seashells!

Wednesday – Gus’ Galaxy Grill (Spaceballs) – A galaxy very, very, very, very far away.

Recommended Meal: Anything but the special.

Spaceballs (1987) / MGM

Sometimes, you just need that greasy diner food to settle your stomach after a long night of drinking liquid Schwartz. There’s no place better than Gus’ Galaxy Grill. Unfortunately, the options can be a bit limited, sometimes only offering the soup and special, and…*points to the guy whose chest exploded* he got the special.

Thursday – McDonald’s (The Fifth Element) – New York, NY – 2263

Recommended Meal: The Big Mac…what else?!

The Fifth Element (1997) / Gaumont Buena Vista International

Nothing outshines the classics! By 2263, McDonald’s will have sold more than 65 trillion people (and they’ll let you know about it). There’s just something about two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, all on a sesame seed bun that can’t be beaten. Show your multi-pass at the window to receive 10% off your next order!

Friday – Café 80’s (Back to The Future: Part II) – Hill Valley, CA – 2015

Recommended Meal: Liberace Fruit Salad w/ Pepsi Perfect

Back to the Future Part II (1989) / Universal Pictures

Ever wanted your meal to be served to you by Ronald Reagan or Michael Jackson? Well…no…me either, but we can still go back a few years, to feel a true 80’s experience at Café 80’s. There are hands-free video games to play, automated waiters, stationary exercise bikes and 80’s-referenced food choices. Crack open a cold, crisp can of Pepsi Perfect and enjoy!

Saturday – Elzar’s Fine Cuisine (Futurama) – New York, NY – 3000

Recommended Meal: Blackened Leftovers

Futurama / 20th Century Fox Television

Let’s class it back up a little; it is Saturday night after all. Elzar’s Fine Cuisine not only offers a wide selection of Neptunian and Earthican foods, but they’re cooked by the Earth’s most famous chef, Elzar. We’ll need a reservation to get in, and the prices are high, but sacrifices must be made for the chance to have your food spiced from a fresh spice weasel. I always like supporting establishments that give back to the community, and considering Elzar supplied the Earth with delicious human broth during the the economic depression, he deserves our hard-earned cash.

Sunday – Snowpiercer Dining Car (Snowpiercer) – Snowpiercer Train – 2031

Recommended Meal: Seared Fish & Champagne

Snowpiercer / TNT

Luxury dining for the upper-class, enjoying beautiful views of the frozen world. Eat fish hatched and raised from the Snowpiercer’s own aquariums. If you listen closely enough, you can hear the screams of rebellion serenade us during our meal. We may not want to stay too long though…and grab one of those tasty-looking Protein Blocks on the way out.

Tell us — Which geeky restaurants would you want to patronize?
