Paul W. S. Anderson’s Resident Evil movie franchise is not without its critics, but the series is among the highest-grossing horror film franchises ever. Despite the many differences between the films and the games from which they were based on, there’s something about the movies that a lot of fans can really appreciate. Of course, that certainly includes the memorable performance of Milla Jovovich as Alice, even if her character never appeared in the video games.
Now, with the film series in the can ahead of a planned reboot from a new filmmaker, Sony is set to release all six films in one massive box set. The Resident Evil collection will include all of the films, presented for the first time on 4K Ultra HD. Of course, Blu-ray discs are also included. Each film also comes with plenty of special bonus features, including rare featurettes and an extended cut of Resident Evil: Apocalypse.
