‘Evil Dead: The Game’ Brings Back Ray Santiago as Pablo

The Ghostbeaters will be back in Evil Dead: The Game. Ray Santiago, who played Pablo on Ash vs. Evil Dead alongside Dana DeLorenzo as Kelly Maxwell, has officially announced on Twitter that he’ll be returning to provide the voice of Pablo. The announcement comes just days after DeLorenzo confirmed she’ll be back as Kelly as well.

The tweet reads, “Stoked to announce I’ll be joining the #Ghostbeaters as the voice of Pablo for @EvilDeadTheGame by @BossTeamGames. you ready ?”

As of now, no footage or images have revealed how Ray Santiago will appear as Pablo in Evil Dead: The Game, though Kelly can be seen in the reveal trailer. Of course, Bruce Campbell also returns as Ash Williams, giving players a chance to team the Ghostbeaters back up with their mentor to take on Deadites once again. It’s not quite the same as giving us another season of Ash vs. Evil Dead, but seeing the gang back together — even in digital form — is pretty wonderful to see as a big fan of that show.

A multiplayer game, players will be able to control Ash and his pals or the demonic force opposing them. Maps from the show as well as the Evil Dead movies will be incorporated along with various weapons seen from the franchise, such as the famous boomstick and chainsaw for Ash. We can also expect to see plenty of Easter eggs hidden in the game for fans to find. Chances are, more familiar characters from the series will also be added along with Pablo and Kelly, and the knight from Army of Darkness shown in the trailer certainly suggests as much.

Evil Dead: The Game will be released with Ray Santiago returning as Pablo sometime in 2021 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can watch the reveal trailer below.
