Aliens: Fireteam, a new video game set in the sci-fi movie franchise’s universe, will be released this summer. Developed by Cold Iron Studios, the release announcement was made with a new first look trailer, revealing some gameplay footage at the multiplayer game.
Per the official website: Set in the iconic Alien universe, Aliens: Fireteam is a cooperative third-person survival shooter that drops your fireteam of hardened marines into a desperate fight to contain the Xenomorph threat. Play a pivotal role in the epic events that occur 23 years after the original Alien trilogy as a Colonial Marine stationed aboard the USS Endeavor, battling terrifying Xenomorph threats.
Players will be able to choose from five unique classes: Gunner, Demolisher, Technician, Doc, and Recon. Each class will have its own special abilities and character perks. Over 30 weapons with more than 70 mods and attachments will be available for players to take on the Xenomorphs.
Marvel Comics is also preparing to launch a new Alien comic book series, and a brand new trailer was also revealed for the first installment. Written by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and illustrated by Salvador Larroca, the comic will follow alien attack survivor Gabriel Cruz “trying to patch things up with his abandoned son with the help of his friend, a Bishop-model android, but his re-entry into civilian life is not going smoothly.” Alien #1 will be released by Marvel on March 24th.

Aliens: Fireteam will be released in Summer 2021 with an exact release date yet to be revealed. The game will be available on Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
