Cheryl Williams is back in Evil Dead: The Game. Longtime fans of the franchise will remember Ash’s younger sister Cheryl as a character from the original 1981 movie. Played by Ellen Sandweiss, Cheryl was the first member of the group to be turned into a Deadite at the old cabin in the woods, spending a lot of time in the cellar after her transformation. Over three decades later, she was resurrected to face Ash once again in Ash vs. Evil Dead.

Now, Cheryl is getting another chance to survive the Deadites in Evil Dead: The Game. She has just been revealed as one of the game’s playable characters, joining her brother Ash and other fan favorites from the franchise. A first look at Cheryl in the game has also been revealed, and new gameplay footage from the anticipated release is also coming later this week.
The “Ghost Beaters” from Ash vs. Evil Dead are also a part of the fun, as both Kelly Maxwell (Dana DeLorenzo) and Pablo (Ray Santiago) have been officially confirmed for the game as well. They’ll be voiced by their original actors along with Bruce Campbell providing the voice of Ash. It’s not yet clear if Ellen Sandweiss will be voicing Cheryl Williams. Other fan favorites from the show, along with the Evil Dead movies and Army of Darkness, are expected to be added.
A release date hasn’t yet been set for Evil Dead: The Game, but Boss Team Games says it will be released sometime in 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The first official gameplay video will be revealed on June 10 via Summer Game Fest.
