As production continues in Budapest for Rob Zombie’s The Munsters film adaption, fans can look forward to new details emerging about the project. One such detail was revealed yesterday on the filmmaker’s official Instagram. The original house, seen in the classic ’60s TV show and located at 1313 Mockingbird Lane, is being constructed.

Zombie posted the blueprints for the house, along with a caption which reads, “The blueprints are done! Time to start the construction. Get ready for the most perfect Munsters house since 1964. I want this thing exact.”

For longtime fans of the show, this is great news. Not only will the iconic house come to life on the big screen, but it seems that Zombie is looking to stay close to the source material. Let’s just hope there’s room for Spot to make an appearance.

While we do not have many confirmed details at this time, Sheri Moon Zombie (Halloween 2007, The Lords of Salem) is expected to star as Lily Munster alongside Jeff Daniel Phillips (3 from Hell, Halloween II 2009) as Herman Munster. Other expected cast members include Richard Brake (3 from Hell, Halloween II 2009), Daniel Roebuck (Grimm, The Lords of Salem), Jorge Garcia (Lost, Once Upon a Time), and Cassandra Peterson (aka Elvira).
