‘Dead by Daylight’ Announces ‘Hellraiser’ Chapter

Dead by Daylight / Hellraiser | Behaviour Interactive

Hellraiser is heading to Dead by Daylight. After recently releasing a teaser unveiling the arrival of a Hellraiser DLC for the popular horror game, Behaviour Interactive has announced that the new chapter will introduce Pinhead as a playable character. Called “The Cenobite,” the iconic horror villain will hit the game on all platforms in September.

Hellraiser’s Pinhead is one of the most stunning and memorable characters among all the iconic killers of the horror genre”, Dave Richard, Creative Director of Dead by Daylight, said in a press release. “Not only is he highly charismatic, but he also embraces deeply disturbing horror themes, so our fans have been requesting him for a long time. Bringing Pinhead into the Fog is a way for us to give fans something they want, while cementing our reputation as the Hall of Fame of Horror.”

Similar to Ghostface and Leatherface, Pinhead appears to be coming into Dead by Daylight without his own map or an accompanying survivor. The new playable killer is already available for players on the Dead by Daylight test servers, so footage of Pinhead in action is spreading through gameplay videos on YouTube. As you might expect, The Cenobite gets to use his chains to bring the pain just as he would in the Hellraiser movies.

A demon to some, an angel to others. Pinhead is an explorer in the further regions of experience, indulging in the limitless thrill of pleasure and pain. When the puzzle box known as the Lament Configuration—a key to another dimension—was found in The Entity’s realm, it was only a matter of time before it fell into curious hands. Once opened, he arrived. What came next was sweet suffering that spilled over the realm.

Hellraiser will be officially available on Dead by Daylight in September.
