Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 intro John Larroquette
Netflix

In an all-new trailer, Netflix’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre showcases gruesome kills, reveals more character information, and sets up a story of revenge. Sally Hardesty, now portrayed by actress Olwen Fouéré, takes a cue from Halloween 2018’s Laurie Strode and returns to finish what was started 50 years ago.

Directed by David Blue Garcia, Texas Chainsaw Massacre will serve as a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper’s 1974 The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Along with bringing the fan-favorite character of Sally back, it has recently been confirmed that original narrator John Larroquette will also return to narrate the sequel.

Official synopsis: Melody (Sarah Yarkin), her teenage sister Lila (Elsie Fisher), and their friends Dante (Jacob Latimore) and Ruth (Nell Hudson), head to the remote town of Harlow, Texas, to start an idealistic new business venture. But their dream soon turns into a waking nightmare when they accidentally disrupt the home of Leatherface, the deranged serial killer whose blood-soaked legacy continues to haunt the area’s residents — including Sally Hardesty (Olwen Fouéré), the sole survivor of his infamous 1973 massacre who’s hell-bent on seeking revenge.

The sequel’s screenplay is by Chris Thomas Devlin with a story by Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead 2013, Don’t Breathe) and Rodo Sayagues (Evil Dead 2013, Don’t Breathe 1 & 2). Texas Chainsaw Massacre will be released on February 18th, 2022, on Netflix.
