Today, it was revealed that actor Nicolas Cage will join the Dead by Daylight character roster as himself. To survive the level in the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game, players (called Survivors) must team up against a Killer. Although we have minimal information at this time, it appears that Cage will be a Survivor taking on some baddies.
According to Dead by Daylight: “After countless awards and over one hundred movies shot across the globe, Nicolas Cage has seen it all and done it all – or so he thought. While on set filming the role of a lifetime, his performance summoned The Entity, a malevolent being of incomprehensible power. The actor soon found himself cast in otherworldly Fog, forced to survive a host of terrifying Killers deadlier than even the most scathing film critic.”

Since its 2016 release, the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game has added several familiar faces via DLC, frequently with their own custom maps. Michael Myers, Leatherface, Freddy Krueger, Saw’s Amanda Young, Ghostface, Silent Hill’s Pyramid Head, Resident Evil’s The Nemesis, Albert Wesker, Pinhead, and The Ring’s Sadako are included in the Killers’ roster. Laurie Strode, Ash Williams, Saw’s Detective David Tapp, Silent Hill’s Cheryl Mason, Jill Valentine, Leon S. Kennedy, and Ada Wong are among the playable Survivors. Raccoon City, Silent Hill, Springwood, Haddonfield, Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s Coldwind Farm, and Saw’s Gideon Meat Plant are franchise maps available for players to explore.
Nicolas Cage’s Dead by Daylight character will be released on July 5th. Along with the announcement, a teaser trailer was unveiled, featuring Cage’s voice while the camera pans across a wrecked film set. Before the title screen, the actor’s character steps through the fog to reveal himself, peering toward the camera. You can check it out below!
