During the Summer Game Fest kickoff show, we got a look at some raw gameplay from Alan Wake 2, the long-awaited sequel to Remedy’s 2010 horror thriller Alan Wake. The gameplay trailer shows the game’s new playable character, Saga Anderson, in a sequence early on in the game as she faces off against a sinister supernatural force that has seemingly resurrected a murder victim into an unexplainable horror that Saga will have to fight.
Following the eerie extended look at the game’s gameplay, Sam Lake joined Geoff Keighley on stage to explain more about what we can expect from Alan Wake 2. He revealed that gameplay between Saga Anderson and Alan Wake will be a 50/50 split sort of deal, allowing the player to swap between the two at certain parts in the game. It was also revealed that players will start the game in Saga’s boots.
