Following everything recently revealed at the PlayStation Showcase, Spider-Man fans continue to be spoiled. Thursday’s Summer Game Fest gave us new looks at Insomniac’s upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, a box art reveal, and a release date of October 20th, 2023.
Insomniac revealed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s Venom will not be Eddie Brock, as the studio wants to tell a story that hasn’t been told yet. It sounds like the exact identity of who Venom will be is being kept hush-hush until the game’s release. We also got teases towards more villains in the game on top of Kraven the Hunter and Venom and even the possibility of more heroes on top of Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
Additionally, preorder details were announced along with details on Deluxe and Collectors editions of the game. Pre-orders go live on June 16th at 10 AM local time. Pre-ordering the game will get you two exclusive skins, the Arachknight (Peter Parker) and Shadow-Spider (Miles Morales) Suits.
