This weekend will see Fan Expo Canada 2023 dominate the downtown Toronto area with their 4-day celebration of all things nerdy. Running from Thursday, August 24th, to Sunday, August 27th, the event is set to host thousands of fans, emphasizing pop culture, comics, gaming, anime, and more.
One of the biggest draws of Fan Expo Canada is the celebrities available for meet-and-greets, and this year, they went all out. The biggest being Anakin Skywalker himself, Hayden Christensen. If you ever wanted to make the same exhausted sand joke, now is the time. There is plenty for horror fans, as the Scream cast will also attend. Neve Campbell, Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich, and Jaime Kennedy will be there all weekend to talk about your favorite scary movie. Speaking of spooky, Wednesday Addams actress Christina Ricci and What We Do In The Shadows’ Harvey Guillen will also be meeting fans.
Other awesome guests include the Daredevil trio Charlie Cox (Daredevil), Jon Bernthal (Punisher), and Vincent D’Onofrio (King Pin); The Office cast Kate Flannery (Meredith), Leslie David Baker (Stanley), and Brian Baumgartner (Kevin); Star Trek actors Anson Mount (Capt Pike) and Ethan Peck (Spock).
This weekend’s convention will also see several voice actors appear. From Star Wars: The Clone Wars, fans can meet Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka), Matt Lanter (Anakin), and James Arnold Taylor (Anakin). The iconic Transformers duo of Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) and Frank Welker (Megatron) will be in attendance. The Chainsaw Man fans can meet cast members Ryan Colt Levy (Denji), Sarah Wiedenheft (Power), Suzie Yeung (Makima), and Chris Sabat (All Might/Vegeta). Other wonderful talent include Shameik Moore (Miles Morales – Into/Across The Spider-Verse) and Jodi Benson (The Little Mermaid).

Of course, there’s no Fan Expo Canada without comic creators. This year’s big names include Frank Miller, Joe Quesada, Andy Kubert, Steve McNiven, and Jason Fabok. There will also be authors, cosplayers, and tattoo artists to meet.
The vendors’ hall will offer plenty of booths to browse and shop, and some prominent exhibitors are expected to have some exciting booths. Disney will be there with an Ahsoka booth promoting the new show with prizes and photo ops. Amazon will have a Prime booth showing off all their properties. Xbox and PlayStation will both have presences at the convention, showing off some of their games. The popular anime streaming service Crunchyroll is debuting at Fan Expo this year for its first year. And undoubtedly, one of the busiest booths this year will be the Squishmallow booth. The company will have merch and prizes.
