V/H/S/Beyond is the seventh installment in the popular V/H/S franchise, which debuted in 2012. Each anthology film features the work of multiple directors. Previous entries have included segments from notable filmmakers such as Ti West, David Bruckner, Edúardo Sanchez, Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead, and Scott Derrickson.

V/H/S/Beyond will feature six videotapes, each “placing horror at the forefront of a sci-fi-inspired hellscape.” The segments and filmmakers included are:

  • “Stork” directed by Jordan Downey (The Head Hunter, ThanksKilling) and written by Downey and Kevin Stewart (The Head Hunter, Unfriended: Dark Web)
  • “Fur Babies,” directed and written by Christian Long (Hop, Lady of the Manor) and Justin Long (Barbarian, Jeepers Creepers)
  • “Live and Let Dive,” directed by Justin Martinez (Southbound, V/H/S) and written by Martinez and Ben Turner (Captains of the World, Sex: Unzipped)
  • “Dream Girl,” directed by Virat Pal (Facelift, Night of the Bride) and written by Pal and Evan Dickson (Your Filthy Heart, V/H/S/85)
  • “Stowaway,” directed by Kate Siegel (The Fall of the House of Usher, The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass) and written by Mike Flanagan (The Fall of the House of Usher, The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass)

A special presentation, directed and written by Jay Cheel (Cursed Films, How to Build a Time Machine), will also be featured.

Josh Goldbloom, Brad Miska, James Harris, and Michael Schreiber produced the film in association with Bloody Disgusting, Cinepocalypse, Studio71, and Shudder Original Films.

The new teaser trailer is packed with sci-horror. It features nightmarish alien creatures, brutal and frantic shootouts, a skydiving plane colliding with a mysterious object in the sky, bright abduction-type lights, and more. Check it out below.

V/H/S/Beyond premieres at Fantastic Fest 2024 next month and will be available to stream exclusively on Shudder beginning October 4th.
