The next Halloween movie, Halloween: Doomsday, is officially moving forward with a slew of franchise stars announced for the cast. Making full use of the Halloween multiverse, dubbed the “Michael-Verse,” the film will unite different stars from Halloween and other major horror franchises.

The full cast of the film was unveiled with a livestream that showcased each actor’s set chair one at a time. Each chair was unveiled in 1-hour intervals, making it an all-day event for 24 cast members to be announced. This includes the return of franchise star Jamie Lee Curtis, who famously portrayed Laurie Strode in the previous Halloween movies. She has been recast as Michael Myers for this new installment, taking on the role of the franchise’s most iconic villain, made possible by way of the multiverse (Michael-Verse).

While Curtis is taking on a different character, there are many Halloween fan favorites coming back to reprise their roles. This includes Halloween: Resurrection star Busta Rhymes, who’s returning as Freddie, one of the few who’ve gone toe to toe with Michael Myers and survived. From another timeline is Danielle Harris, who’s returning as an adult Jamie Lloyd.

Other franchise stars reprising their roles for Halloween: Doomsday include Brian Andrews (Tommy Doyle, John Carpenter’s Halloween); Jack Verbois (Ben Tramer, Halloween II); Tom Atkins (Dr. Dan Challis, Halloween III: Season of the Witch); Ellie Cornell (Rachel Carruthers, Halloween 4 & 5); Josh Hartnett (John Tate, Halloween H20); Sheri Moon Zombie (Deborah Myers, Rob Zombie’s Halloween); Andi Matichak (Allyson Nelson, David Gordon Green’s Halloween); Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhees, Friday the 13th franchise), Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise), and Bruce Campbell (Ash Williams, Evil Dead franchise).

“Bro, everyone loves Halloween, so I thought, bro, why not just bring together something great from each one, along with some other horror fan favorites?” said the director of the film, former pro wrestling writer Vince Russo, in an interview on Carrot Top’s podcast. “Jamie Lee Curtis, Busta Rhymes, and Danielle Harris in one film? You can’t beat it, bro!”

Curtis, acknowledging how she’s finally changing up her role in the series by taking on the role of Halloween‘s villain, also stated to the Daily Planet, “After multiple deaths and eventual vanquishment of Michael Myers in various Halloween timelines, it was time for a change. It will be different wearing a mask this time, but I’ve been practicing my heavy breathing and head-tilting to get Michael’s mannerisms down.”

Halloween: Doomsday will not be released on April 1, 2025, or any other day, as the film is not real. This entire story is a fabrication written as part of an April Fools’ Day gag. Happy April Fools’ Day!
