Netflix has officially announced a premiere date for Bass X Machina, an all-new adult animated series set to arrive on streaming on Oct. 6, 2026. The show comes after Netflix’s success with other offerings from its animated slate, including Arcane, Blue-Eye Samurai, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, and Devil May Cry.

Bass X Machina is executive produced by lead voice cast star Brian Tyree Henry (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Transformers One). Other EPs include LeSean Thomas, Jennifer Wiley-Moxley, and Chad Handley. It will also feature original music by Roman GianArthur and Nate Wonder at Wondaland.

Along with Henry as Bass, other voice cast stars for Bass X Machina include Janelle Monáe (Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Hidden Figures) as Glory; Tati Gabrielle (The Last of Us, YOU) as Dana; Cree Summer (Voltron: Legendary Defender, Sabrina: The Animated Series) as Ahni; Chaske Spencer (The Twilight Saga) as Lighthorse; Currie Graham (Reacher, Assault on Precinct 13) as Rivenbark; and Starletta DuPois (One Battle After Another, The Notebook, Big Momma’s House) as Etta.

The logline for the series reads, “In a lawless Steampunk West overrun by brutal outlaws, machines, and supernatural terrors, a father is forced to become judge, jury, and executioner—knowing that every act of justice meant to protect his family may ultimately cost him the very people he’s fighting to save.”

Bass X Machina will premiere on Netflix on Oct. 6, 2026. Check out the first official images from the series below.
