If you’re a lifelong fan of horror movies, chances are you know a thing or two about the genre. Fans have long enjoyed quizzing each other about horror movies, testing to see who’s the ultimate expert. But while there have been many versions of horror movie trivia games to be released over the years, those of us who’ve played Trivial Pursuit would especially enjoy an official horror version of the game.
Finally, the day has arrived, as Trivial Pursuit: Horror Movie Edition is now on sale. Licensed by Hasbro and made by USAopoly, the game includes 600 trivia questions about horror films spanning over a 100 year time period. Each of the biggest sub-genres will have their own question categories, which includes: Monster, Gore/Disturbing, Psychological, Paranormal, Slasher, and International.
Get ready to really test your horror movie knowledge when playing this game. Sample questions touch on blasts from the past like Boris Karloff films and Peter Jackson’s Braindead (1992) to more modern movies like A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014) and Green Room (2015).
We can clearly expect all of the major horror movie franchises over the years, such as Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street, to be included. But it seems a lot of films that aren’t talked about as much are going to be included too. In any case, these questions are going to be far more entertaining for horror fans than the typical ones found in regular Trivial Pursuit.
The game is recommended for players aged 17 and up. It includes one wedge holder, 100 question cards, one die, and, of course, the rules. The box itself looks pretty amazing, and you can take a peek at what the complete package looks like below!
