Sackhead Jason Gets Super Cute Living Dead Doll

Although Jason Voorhees is more well-known for his iconic hockey mask, many old school Friday the 13th fans have a fond appreciation for the second movie’s “Sackhead” look. In the franchise’s first sequel, Jason begins his first killing spree while wearing a burlap sack over his face, with nothing but a single eyehole for him to see through. This appearance may have only been used for one movie, but given the appreciation for this version of the character, Mezco is still adding the “Sackhead Jason” to their line of Living Dead Dolls.

This “Deluxe Edition” Friday the 13th Part 2 Living Dead Doll features Jason exactly as he appears in the film, albeit as a miniature version. He’s wearing the overalls and plaid shirt from the movie, in addition to the burlap bag on his head. Of course, the sack is removable, letting fans catch a good look at the film’s unmasked version of Jason as portrayed by Warrington Gillette (Steve Dash plays the masked Jason in the film).

The 10″ doll wouldn’t be complete without his trademark accessories, and Mezco delivers here as well. The Living Dead Doll comes with a pickaxe for Jason to carry, as well as the severed, decomposing head of his mother, Pamela. As strange as this is to say, Jason Voorhees has never looked so cute, and neither has the disembodied head of his murderous mother. The dolls can be pre-ordered right now from Mezco, and they’re expected to ship between April and June of 2019.

Synopsis: The second entry in the long-running horror series focuses on a group of teenage would-be counselors converging on Camp Crystal Lake for training under the tutelage of head counselor Paul (John Furey). Inevitably, Paul relates the story of Jason Voorhees (Warrington Gillette), a boy who ostensibly drowned at the camp and whose mother murdered a group of counselors in revenge. No one takes the tale seriously until a very much alive Jason begins gruesomely eliminating people.
