Friday the 13th funko

Nearly every pop culture franchise has gone through the Funko Pop! treatment, and Friday the 13th is no exception. Like his murderous pals Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees has had several figures added to the line. The most ardent of collectors have them all, but some of these are certainly much more rare than others.

Tracking each of these down may prove to be a difficult (i.e. expensive) task, but if you’re curious to see the whole set of Friday the 13th Funko Pop! figures, you can take a look at them below!

1Jason Voorhees (01)

The very first Jason Voorhees figure in the Pop! line is the plain and simple version of the character. Wearing black gloves with a brown jacket, this version of Jason most closely resembles the one portrayed by Derek Mears in the 2009 remake.

2Jason Voorhees (01) – Glow-in-the-Dark Chase Variant

This is an alternate version of the previous figure with a key difference. This Jason’s mask actually glows in the dark, and is the only Friday the 13th Pop! figure to do so. As you could expect, it’s much harder to find than the ordinary version.

3Unmasked Jason Voorhees (202) – SDCC 2015 Exclusive

With a face only a mother could love, this unmasked version of Jason was only available for attendees at San Diego Comic-Con in 2015. If you don’t own this guy already, don’t expect to find one for cheaper than several hundred dollars. Some eBay listings even have this figure on sale for well over $1000.

4A New Beginning Jason Voorhees (361) – Hot Topic Exclusive

Originally sold only at Hot Topic, this limited edition figure depicts Jason as seen in Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning. Fans of the franchise are well aware that, technically, this isn’t Jason Voorhees, but homicidal paramedic Roy Burns. Still, it’s a must-have for collectors, and it’s always nice to see the underappreciated Part V getting some due love.

58-Bit Jason Voorhees (23)

This 8-bit depiction of Jason combines retro video games with Friday the 13th. In other words, it’s a match made in heaven for fans of ’80s pop culture. This is the same jacket-wearing Jason from earlier Funko releases, but with a pixelated edge.

68-Bit Jason Voorhees Purple Variant (26) – GameStop Exclusive

This one ought to be a particular favorite for fans of the 1989 NES game from LJN. In that classic game, Jason had a very unique appearance with purple overalls and a turquoise mask. This Pop! applies those colors to the previous 8-bit Jason, and you can almost hear that creepy cabin music playing when looking at it.

7Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees – F.Y.E. Exclusive

Say you like Jason, but you also like Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street. This Funko Pop! 2-pack would be perfect for you! Indeed, this is the same Jason who originally came in a box by himself, but it looks even better packaged with the Springwood Killer.

8Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees Bloody Variant – BoxLunch Exclusive

Available only through BoxLunch, this Freddy and Jason 2-pack is virtually identical to the other with one notable difference. This is the bloody variant, meaning the two have been splattered with tiny little specks of blood.

9Friday the 13th Part 2 Jason Voorhees (611) – Walgreens Exclusive

Finally, this “Baghead Jason” with his trademark pickaxe is due for release this fall just in time for Halloween. He will be exclusively sold at Walgreens, and should start showing up on store shelves soon. For big fans of the second movie, owning this Pop! should be considered crucial.
