Veteran actor and screen legend Danny Trejo will be providing the voice of Boots in the live-action Dora the Explorer movie. Called Dora the Explorer and the Lost City of Gold, the film also stars Isabela Moner (Transformers: The Last Knight) in the lead role of Dora. Rounding out the cast are such stars as Benicio del Toro, Eugenio Derbez, Michael Peña, Eva Longoria, Jeffrey Wahlberg, and Temuera Morrison. James Bobin (The Muppets) is directing.

Of course, we recognize Trejo from so many different projects he’s appeared in over the past several decades, that it’s hard to pick what we know him best from. Often playing villains, Trejo has appeared in movies like Con AirDesperado, From Dusk till Dawn, and Grindhouse. He’s been on tons of notable television shows as well, with roles on programs like Breaking BadSons of AnarchyThe X-Files, and From Dusk till Dawn: The Series. He also starred in the exploitation action film Machete and its sequel, reprising a role first seen in the Spy Kids movies.

The Dora the Explorer movie will be released on Aug. 2, 2019. Below, you can check out the official poster and synopsis for the film.

Synopsis: Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle, nothing could prepare Dora for her most dangerous adventure yet — high school. Accompanied by a ragtag group of teens and Boots the monkey, Dora embarks on a quest to save her parents while trying to solve the seemingly impossible mystery behind a lost Incan civilization.
