Respawn Entertainment, a studio of Electronic Arts, broke the news that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a new third-person action adventure game, will launch this fall. The announcement came today from Star Wars Celebration in Chicago during the event’s first day. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will take place after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and will feature an original story.

Players take on the role of Cal Kestis (Cameron Monaghan, Gotham), a young Padawan and survivor of Order 66, ans work to rebuild the Jedi Order while completing Cal’s training and evading the Empire. Take full advantage of his Jedi training and powerful Force abilities, which is aided by the game’s lightsaber combat system, while being pursued by the special and dangerous Imperial forces, the Second Sister and Purge Troopers. Players will visit new locations, including the planet Bracca, and meet new characters, creatures, and droids while also encountering familiar Star Wars locations, weapons, gear, and enemies. Accompanying Cal is his faithful droid BD-1.

In addition to the reveal trailer, which can be seen below, Respawn Entertainment also confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will not be multiplayer, instead featuring a story-driven, single-player game. There will also be no microtransactions, which should make fans happy.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will launch on November 15, 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Origin. The game is available now for pre-order, with the Standard Edition offering unique cosmetic equipment for Cal’s lightsaber and droid companion. The Deluxe Edition comes with a “Director’s Cut” suite of behind-the-scenes features and content as well as additional unique cosmetic equipment.
