The For the Love of Horror 2019 is planning to bring ALL the terror to Manchester, England, from October 19-20. The event takes place at Bowlers Exhibition Centre. If you’re thinking about attending, read on about some of the exciting things For the Love of Horror has in store!
There is a lot going on this year, and when we asked one of the con organizers, Neil Hibbert, what he is most looking forward to fans checking out, he told us, “Being a horror fanatic myself, it’s super difficult to single any individual aspect of what we have created this year. I cant wait to see the fans getting to see reunions happening at our event, from The Lost Boys to Saw. As far as we know, this is the first time all the remaining (The Lost Boys) vampire actors have been together at a convention, which is extra special.”
He also took the time to highlight his excitement for Tim Cappello’s live performance. Horror fans will remember Cappello from his iconic saxophone scene in The Lost Boys. Hibbert says, “Imagine being at a horror convention and hearing a saxophone belting out, looking to the stage and Tim is doing his thing.”
There will be plenty of shopping, as For the Love of Horror will feature vendors selling everything from cupcakes, Funko Pop! figures, custom horror t-shirts, and genre collector items. They will also have a ghost hunting workshop, which Hibbert says will be worth checking out.
The event will also feature a memorial to honor Sid Haig’s memory, who was due to be a guest at the convention. Horror fans were saddened and shocked yesterday with the news of Haig’s passing.
