Well, Glatz Concerts and TO Live have you covered, presenting the animated sequel with a live orchestra on March 14th and 15th at Meridian Hall in Toronto, Ontario.
One of the most popular sequels of all time, Shrek 2 follows Shrek (Mike Myers) and Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) as they travel to the Kingdom of Far Far Away. They plan to celebrate their marriage with Fiona’s parents, King and Queen (John Cleese and Julie Andrews) of the kingdom.
However, they soon realize they are not as welcome as they expected, as their marriage disrupts the King’s plans for his daughter. Chaos ensues with the arrival of various characters, including Donkey (Eddie Murphy), Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas), and a bunch of other hilarious friends and foes, as Shrek faces his biggest challenge yet… his in-laws!
Conductor Evan Mitchell, a seasoned veteran of these live movie events, leads the TO Live ‘Ogre-stra’ through the enchanting and lively score composed by Harry Gregson-Williams. The orchestra faces the additional challenge of elevating some iconic musical numbers, including the Oscar-nominated original song “Accidentally in Love” by the Counting Crows.
