In two short seasons and one “Christmas special” episode, sci-fi anthology show Black Mirror became one of my favorite television shows ever created. It carries a familiar Twilight Zone-esque formula where each episode is a contained story, but the concept and stories’ morals are technology-based, and the execution and visuals are flawless. The first two seasons and special Christmas episode aired on the British public service channel, Channel 4, but now Netflix takes the reins as the show’s distributor. However, nothing’s really changed behind the scenes. Black Mirror remains creator Charlie Brooker‘s baby.

In the show’s brief history so far, they managed to secure stars like Jon Hamm, Hayley Atwell, Domhnall Gleeson, Toby Kebbell, Rupert Everett, Rory Kinnear, Tuppence Middleton, and so many others. Now with its success, season 3 features even more well-known names like Bryce Dallas Howard, Alice Eve, Mackenzie Davis, Kelly Macdonald, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Kelly, and Wyatt Russell to name a few.

With that over-share of information, take a look at what’s to come in the first official trailer of the upcoming third, 6-episode Black Mirror season, which appears to be as conceptually ambitious as ever. The season starts streaming on Netflix on October 21st, 2016, and that date couldn’t get here soon enough!
