Last month will probably go on record as the most loaded March across all mediums. Video games, films, and TV series’ premieres ran amok and destroyed our free time. As I briefly peel myself away from Dallas International Film Festival (DIFF) screenings, let’s look at the April 2017 films that are most likely to tickle one’s fancy.
Outside of these 8 films, you still have Fate of the Furious, The Transfiguration, Born in China, The Circle, and so many more that could pass the time in an enjoyable fashion. Enjoy this somewhat-quiet month of content before the summer movie season further dismantles your spare time.
4. The Lost City of Z
Release Date: April 14th
Instead of the expected mindless action The Fate of the Furious will deliver, maybe pursue a (perhaps) more intelligent action/adventure-historical film in The Lost City of Z. Ever since its premiere at New York Film Festival (NYFF), Z has gained much acclaim. We’re anticipating seeing it later in the DIFF film schedule ourselves, so stay tuned for our full review on this. In the interim, the excitement is explicable, as the intrigue lies in this picture’s biographical stance and how magical the true story is.
