Last month will probably go on record as the most loaded March across all mediums. Video games, films, and TV series’ premieres ran amok and destroyed our free time. As I briefly peel myself away from Dallas International Film Festival (DIFF) screenings, let’s look at the April 2017 films that are most likely to tickle one’s fancy.
Outside of these 8 films, you still have Fate of the Furious, The Transfiguration, Born in China, The Circle, and so many more that could pass the time in an enjoyable fashion. Enjoy this somewhat-quiet month of content before the summer movie season further dismantles your spare time.
3. Win It All
Release Date: April 7th
Netflix continues to rake in special films in their exclusive line-up, like the upcoming Joe Swanberg comedy Win It All. At South by Southwest last month, the feature similarly endeared audiences and critics. Jake Johnson, both the lead and co-writer of the story (with director Swanberg), plays Eddie, who is a persistent gambler despite the odds constantly stacking against him. Positive word-of-mouth and an always-charming lead argued Win It All into our “must” list of April 2017 films list.
