According to Disney and Lucasfilm, Star Wars: The Last Jedi will now be released one day earlier in the UK than previously announced. The film will now hit theaters on December 14th, with the US release still set for December 15th. There is no reported reason for the change, but we can’t imagine anyone in the UK complaining.
However, the UK still won’t be the first region to get the much anticipated film. If you’re in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, or Sweden, you can catch Star Wars: The Last Jedi on December 13th. Joining the UK with a December 14th date will be Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chili, the Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Israel, Malaysia, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Russia, and Singapore. China’s release will be January 5, 2018.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy the release has been brought forward in the UK. However, my excitement wishes they could have moved it forward to tomorrow!
