PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

Brendan Greene, creator of the battle royale-style shooter PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, appeared on stage during Microsoft’s E3 conference today. He announced that his chart-topping game is coming to Xbox One as a launch exclusive later this year. That definitely leaves room for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to still come to PlayStation 4 at a later date. The final game will launch in 2018 across the Xbox One family of devices, which includes Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X.

Greene also talked about the success of the game, confirming 3 million players on PC. The game, which has been available on Steam Early Access, reached 1 million players within 16 days and has held strong on Twitch. Once its released, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will get Xbox One X enhancements, although those weren’t yet defined.
