During Nintendo’s E3 briefing, we got to check out Xenoblade Chronicles 2. To say I was happy about the trailer, is an understatement.
In this sequel to the 2011 Nintendo Wii masterpiece, we’ll follow the story of a new pair of warriors on their travels to Elysium. From the gameplay footage on Nintendo’s livestream, you’ll be in control of Rex and Pyre throughout the story, who pretty much filled the video.
From the trailer, you can seemingly expect the same quality that fans of the series will love. Graphically, it looks superb and the gameplay side looks to have kept the same components that make the series what it is. Nintendo’s gameplay stream definitely showed improvements to the world itself, as well as the fighting system. It’s a lot more slick and gives you an easy switch to other weapons.
This is one game that I’m sure will tempt people to try the Switch. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has a release date for late 2018. We’ll keep you posted, but get it added to your Christmas list now!
