The dust hasn’t settled from the first outing for Diana and her skills. Wonder Woman 2 has some more plot details for us to ponder over. It goes without saying, there’s some spoilers coming up, so if you’ve not seen the first film yet… what’s wrong with you!?
Wonder Woman 2 takes Diana up against the Soviet Union in the final days of the Cold War. Given this will be set in the 1980’s, Wonder Woman is still building her story until we’re in line with the rest of the DC universe.
It also appears we’re getting the same team behind the sequel as in the first outing. Geoff Johns, the Chief Creative Officer of DC Comics is writing the script, along side Patty Jenkins. One thing to note, given the ending of the first film, is that Chris Pine will be returning. Pine’s character returns to aid Diana. How this possible, however, is another thing. I’ve not much of a clue as how they’ll manage that one, but I can’t wait to find out. Given the reaction of fans to the pairing of Gadot and Pine, however they work it, it should be another blockbuster hit.
