Halloween III: Season of the Witch has gotten a lot of flak over the years, but the film has developed a rather large cult following regardless. It might not have Michael Myers, but the film is very compelling in its own way. One of its most chilling aspects is the film’s ending, which leaves the fate of millions of children undetermined. Was Dr. Challis able to save the day at the end, like Tom Atkins himself says? If not, what effect did this horrific event have on the world?
This brings us to the upcoming fan film, Return of the Witch. Directed by Brandon Tobatto, the movie will take place in the present day, serving as a direct sequel to the third Halloween film. It will have a new cast with different locations, but one important aspect to remain is the Silver Shamrock masks. With permission from Trick or Treat Studios, the officially-licensed skeleton, pumpkin, and witch masks will be the actual ones to be used in Return of the Witch.
Synopsis: After finally coming to terms with the fact that his family’s legacy has been forever tarnished by the events of Halloween 1982, Connor Cochran, grandson of Conal Cochran and heir to the ‘Silver Shamrock’ company, has decided to re-emerge from the shadows and rid the world of the stigma it has placed upon his family name. With this new ‘Shamrock Unlimited’ brand looming over the nation, will Connor Cochran right the wrongs of his grandfather… or FINISH what Conal Cochran started all those years ago?
Return of the Witch will be free to watch when it’s released on YouTube this month on Oct. 27. An announcement teaser has also been released to hype the film, and although it doesn’t show any footage of the movie, it’s an interesting video to watch. You can take a look at it below.
