We can’t tell you how stoked we are for the upcoming slasher flick from Voorhees Films, 13 Fanboy. Written and directed by Friday the 13th: A New Beginning fan favorite actress Deborah Voorhees, the meta-film follows a psychotic stalker who’s obsessed with the stars of the Friday the 13th movie series. The killer begins picking off various alumni from the series one by one, with each of the actors and actresses from the movies playing themselves. With many stars from the films already on board, today brings about an exciting update as the legendary Kane Hodder has just been announced as part of the cast!
Big Friday the 13th fans will know Hodder as the man behind the hockey mask in four separate films in the series. He will be joining fellow Jason actor C.J. Graham, who donned the iconic mask in the sixth movie, Jason Lives. Also confirmed to appear in the film are Ron Sloan and Carol Locatell (A New Beginning), Judie Aronson (The Final Chapter), Tracie Savage (Part 3), Thom Mathews (Jason Lives), and Vincente DiSanti and Andrew Leighty (Never Hike Alone). In addition to directing, Deborah Voorhees will be playing herself in the film as well.
There are so many talented and familiar stars attached to this film already. It may not be a Friday the 13th film, but it’s going to be awesome seeing so many of our favorite stars from the series all together in one movie. More and more names are expected to be added to the cast as the production date nears, and it’s exciting for fans to see which names will be added next. It goes without saying that many people were hoping for Hodder to be included, and the film just sounds better and better the more we find out about it.
