We’ve been absolutely giddy ever since the news was made official that Unsolved Mysteries would be coming back with new episodes, courtesy of Netflix. First premiering on the small screen in 1987, the show introduced viewers to unsolved mysteries of all kinds from across the planet. Topics covered on the show stretched across a variety of topics, such as reuniting lost loves, searching for missing persons, exploring unsolved murders, and investigating paranormal activity.
Because of the exposure brought to these mysteries by the TV show, so many of them wound up being solved. With Netflix bringing the show back, the potential is there to get to the bottom of some new perplexing stories. There’s certainly been plenty of bizarre phenomena that’s happened in the years since Unsolved Mysteries went off the air. Now seeking some of these strange new stories, the show’s producers are calling for fan submissions for mysteries to highlight on the Netflix revival.
If you know of a good mystery you’d love to see explored on Unsolved Mysteries, you can send it to producers by using a submission form on the official website. Just provide your name, contact information, and details about the case, and you’ll be good to go. The first season will consist of 12 episodes when it drops on the streaming service, and your mystery could very well be solved on the upcoming series.
It remains to be seen if the show will feature an on-screen host, in the same role Robert Stack and Dennis Farina had done for the series in the past. What’s also unclear is if the revival will be using that terrifying Unsolved Mysteries theme music used during the show’s original run with Stack, but we’ll definitely be keeping our fingers crossed for that one.
