‘Halloween H20’: 10 Things You May Not Know

Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later may no longer exist in the current Halloween continuity, but many franchise fans still remember the flick fondly. Let’s revisit the 1998 slasher sequel with these ten killer facts about the film!

7FX played a rare alternate cut of the film

There is an ultra-rare cut of this movie that has only ever been shown on one television network. This would be the special cut that aired only on FX in February 2003. It’s vastly different because while much of the film’s violence and all of the swear words are edited out for television, the FX cut adds tons of new material not seen in any other version of the movie that’s been released.

Some of the changes are minimal, with others making more of a difference. One key change is that Ronny does not reappear later in the ending of the film following his bullet to the head, implying he actually dies in the TV version. There are also many extended and alternate takes, along with several brief cut scenes which don’t have a major effect on the story but are interesting to see nonetheless.

Some of the alternate scenes from the FX cut are not available on any home video release of Halloween H20, but they have made their way onto YouTube.
